Marco Mezquida (Maó, Menorca, 1987) is reputedly a high promising pianist of his generation. He began very soon studiyng piano, first in his own town and later in Barcelona at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) teaching Albert Bover i Joan Díaz, modern music and jazz. Ha has been touring around, in Balearic Islands, Catalunya, Euskalherria, Madrid, Valencia, Aragón, Italy, Saint Petersburg and Germany.

He has played around in diverse ensembles, duet (two pianos, with Suso González, last year, for Jazz Obert), trio, quartet, alone and even in Big Bands. In 2008 he performed with Simfònica de Balears, and in the same year he was unanimously awarded in the contest Jazz de Barcelona, Jazz Montjuïc, with Nuno Campos Trio. He currently goes on in his studies, while teaching and gigging.
